The inaugural provincial session of the International Congress on Combating Scientific Apartheid was convened at the University of Yazd, in collaboration with the Basij Organization of Professors of Yazd Province.
The session addressed a range of critical themes, including: “Scientific apartheid and its emerging challenges and consequences,” “Scientific diplomacy and the construction of frameworks for global consensus,” “The role of international organizations, non-governmental entities, and international law,” “The imperative of promoting equity within national scientific and educational structures,” and “The influence of global ranking systems in perpetuating scientific apartheid.”
According to the organizers, six scholarly papers relevant to the session’s thematic axes were accepted and presented in the form of academic lectures.
The International Congress on Combating Scientific Apartheid is scheduled to be held in Tehran in May of next year, with the participation of distinguished Iranian scholars and researchers from multiple countries.
This academic initiative is designed to strengthen the scientific foundations of the nation across diverse fields and to resist the phenomenon of scientific apartheid imposed by hegemonic powers against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Scientific apartheid is conceptualized as a violation of Islamic human rights against Iran, and legal approaches and strategies to confront it constitute an integral part of the discourse.
